Norsonic is releasing the new v3.0 firmware (3.0.1746) for Nor140. The new firmware has the following new features and changes:
After measuring a frequency spectrum, the Nor140 now calculates the NC, NR and RC functions. These are displayed at the lower end of the frequency table. The NC calculations meet ANSI/ASA S12.2-2008 Criteria for Evaluating Room Noise
The instrument now has multiple language menus. By opening the “I/O Print” menu (using SETUP-1-2), the menu language may be interchanged between English, French and German.
In order to simplify the use of the instrument, Nor140 offer a new “User-defined” table containing only those measurement functions that each individual user prefer. This new USER table is activated by selecting minimum one measurement function in the “User parameter” menu (using SETUP-1-9-1), and it will then replace all the other tables normally available upon pressing TBL. The new USER table may contain a mix of A- and C/Z-network functions as well as selected Ln percentiles. The selection is made using the same principles of selection as in the advanced profile (i.e. step to next selection table using the NETW key when the “User parameter” menu is open)
The internal communication features are greatly improved in order to be used with the version 1.5 or newer of the Nor850. Minor bug fixes There are additionally some minor bugs that have been improved with the new version 3.0.
All new Nor140 units will be delivered with the new firmware.
