Norsonic Nor850 Acoustic Reporting Software

SKU: Nor850Software

Overview

Measurements taken manually using Norsonic Sound Level Meters—Nor140, Nor145, and Nor150—can be seamlessly imported into the reporting modules. Level, reverberation, and background measurement files are easily added to the appropriate table folders using a simple drag-and-drop method. Even complete building acoustics files containing all data in a single file can be imported. The software also allows manual entry of measurement data, enabling users to take advantage of its calculation and reporting capabilities with data obtained from other instruments.

A wide range of standards is supported, including the ASTM E336/E1007 building acoustics standards and the ISO 3740 series for sound power measurements. Users can input and edit calculation parameters and descriptive text in Excel reports to finalize the calculation of sound insulation indices or sound power levels. Nor850 supports uploading pre-defined parameters of measurement tasks to the instrument before testing. Additionally, users can upgrade their Nor850 Reporting system to a full-featured Nor850 Multichannel system at any time.

Applications

  • Building acoustics calculation and reporting
  • Sound power calculation reporting
  • Sound intensity reporting

Nor850/BA-1 Building Acoustics Calculation and Reporting Software

The building acoustics module enables easy import of measurement data from Norsonic’s Nor140, Nor145, or Nor150 sound level meters for calculation and reporting in accordance with a full range of building acoustics standards, including in-situ ASTM E336/E1007 and ISO 10140. Users can configure calculation settings and edit informative text within Excel reports to finalize the determination of sound insulation indices or sound power levels.

Level, reverberation or background measurement files are imported into the respective table folders by simple drag & drop technique. This module also allows manual entry of measurement data, enabling users to take advantage of its calculation and reporting capabilities with data obtained from other instruments.

Unlike the NorConnect software used for the reporting of on-board building acoustics measurements made with the Norsonics’s sound level meters, this module allows users additional capability to exclude measurement data sets from the calculation, add additional data, along with the added ability to upload predefined measurement files and parameters to the Nor145 or Nor150 meters, allowing for a much quicker start to measurements in the field.

Supported ASTM Standards

  • ASTM E336 Standard Test Method for Measurement of Airborne Sound Insulation in Buildings
  • ASTM E1007 Standard Guide for Field Measurement of Tracked Impact Sound Transmission in Buildings
  • ASTM E413 Classification for Rating Sound Insulation
  • ASTM E989 Standard Classification for Determination of Single-Number Metrics for Impact Noise
  • ASTM E3207 Determination of Low-Frequency Impact Noise Ratings
  • ASTM E3222 Determination of High-frequency Impact Sound Ratings

Nor850/LW-1 Sound Power Calculation and Reporting Software

The Sound Power module enables easy import of measurement data from Norsonic’s Nor140, Nor145, or Nor150 sound level meters for calculation and reporting in accordance with ISO 3740 series standards.

Supported ISO Standards

ISO 3741 — Precision methods for anechoic rooms
ISO 3743-1 — Part 1: Precision methods for free-field conditions over a reflecting plane
ISO 3743-2 — Part 2: Method using sound pressure — Survey method in situ for machinery and equipment
ISO 3744 — Method using sound pressure — Precision method for anechoic and hemi-anechoic rooms
ISO 3745 — Precision methods for anechoic and hemi-anechoic rooms

Nor850/SI Sound Intensity Reporting Software

Nor850 with Sound Intensity module includes report generation for the ISO 9614 part 1 and part 2 standards of sound intensity measurements made by theNor150 sound level meter.

In the Nor850 software, users can change all settings the same way as on the Nor150. However, copying and analyzing the measurements is easier on a larger screen. The Nor850 software provides intuitive visual tools for editing.

Users can copy segments or surfaces, view intermediate results for selected segments, and exclude certain segments, surfaces, or frequency bands. If needed, measurements can be adjusted between Survey/Engineering, and the frequency range can be modified.

The Nor850 displays all the same information as the Nor150, including the Scope Selector and all its functions. Additionally, results are mapped onto a 2D/3D surface for noise mapping.

A typical use case might involve situations where time constraints prevent a full definition of segments before taking measurements. All measurements can be taken on a single surface, even when areas are undefined. By opening two measurement projects in the Nor850, users can define a new total measurement surface and easily copy/paste each measured segment into its correct location in the new project.

Measured results are available in various windows containing graphs, tables, navigation pane etc.

Nor850 with Sound Intensity option includes report generation for the ISO 9614 part 1 and part 2 Standards. Fill in the essential information about the measurement, and generate the measurement report.

Measured results displayed as 2D surface and 3D surface together, along with the Scope Selector (navigator) and colour range adjustment pane.
