Recorded data is saved in WAVE format on an SD card, and the stored data can be output as analog signals or exported for further analysis with external signal processing equipment. Two DA-21 units can be synchronized to create an 8-channel recording system. The recorder also features a voice memo function and operates silently, as it contains no moving parts. It is designed to perform reliably even in challenging environments with exposure to vibration and humidity. Additionally, it includes a dedicated rotary pulse (tachometer) input, supporting speeds from 200 to 600,000 RPM.
Waveform data can be reviewed using the bundled viewer version of the Waveform Analysis Software AS-70, or further analyzed using the full-featured advanced version of the AS-70 software.
