The VM-56 is a ground-borne vibration meter engineered to simultaneously calculate measurement parameters in compliance with the DIN 45669-1 standard for vibration emission and the ISO 8041 standard for human response to vibration. It is ideal for both attended monitoring and long-term, unattended measurements.
Equipped with a durable tri-axial vibration sensor, the VM-56 supports the measurement of key parameters such as Peak Particle Velocity (PPV), Vibration Dose Value (VDV), Crest Factor (C.F.), Dominant Frequency (D.F.), Displacement, and more—independently in each axis.
Measurement data is saved to an SD card inserted into the analyzer, allowing easy transfer to Excel. An Excel macro template is included to streamline report generation from the measured data.
Each VM-56 includes:
The VM-56 is built to be expandable and upgradable, providing users with a comprehensive measurement tool for many years ahead. Each unit includes Rion’s 18-month warranty. All program options are designed for easy installation through Rion’s streamlined installation process, which is both quick and user-friendly. Each option is pre-installed on SD cards, enabling users to independently install the software by inserting the SD card into the instrument and following the installation procedure.
VX-56WR Waveform Recording Program Option
The VX-56WR program option allows recording of vibration waveforms on the SD card in a WAV file format. This allows for raw acceleration data can be captured in parallel with standard measurements. The wave files can then be post-processed using the optional AS-70GV Waveform Analysis Software for graphical display, level calculations, octave band analysis, and FFT analysis.
VX-56RT Octave Band Analysis Program Option
The VX-56RT program option can be added to the VM-56 to measure one-third octave band acceleration levels simultaneously with standard measurements. Users can apply frequency weightings Wd and Wb for whole-body vibration, and Wm motion sickness as defined in ISO 2631-1.
